Our garden designers interview clients personally
over the phone, using an internet site where we have created a series of
photographic examples which leads us through understanding your likes
and dislikes, wants and needs. We don't have canned garden designs. You will
speak directly with a designer and a custom garden design will be created based
on your creative choices and the realities of your lifestyle and of the
site. Then you will measure and take photos, fill out a site sheet and mail (or email) it to your designer. The design package contains a "to scale" DETAILED garden design complete with a key showing each plant, the bloom times, color and height; a flower chart; photographs (we have photos of most plants). Each garden design comes with a CD with photographs. During your initial consultation with our designer you will discuss whether you want to bid this project out to several landscapers, do the work yourself, or a combination. If you are bidding out the job, we can provide up to three bid specification sheets. If you want local plants, a plant searching list will be provided. If you want mail order plants from top quality nurseries, we can order them for you and have them shipped directly to you (at the correct planting time for your area). We will also provide a list of those plants you should shop for at your local nurseries. You will be able to have an initial review of the project before it is finalized. The initial review is within two weeks of your payment and receipt of your measurements and photos. Then we will make any revisions and compete the design. The design will be mailed out and the remainder of the package can be emailed to you, or put on a CD or printed out on paper. If you choose to have a local landscape company install the garden you can order additional paper plans for them. The cost of the design package is based on the size of the project. Project under 500 sq. ft. (a normal size house front) Electronic package (emailed or CD) and one design print mailed $395.00 Project between 500 - 1000 sq. ft. (a normal size house front & back) Electronic package (emailed or CD) and one design print mailed $595.00 Project between 1000 - 2000 sq. ft. (a normal size house front & larger back yard area) Electronic package (emailed or CD) and one design print mailed $795.00 Extra components are available upon request. Please call for larger projects. The only plant costs provided will be for the top quality mail order plants. Plants we suggest for you to find at a local nursery will not be priced. Organic supplements will be identified but not priced. Hardscapes will not be priced. We take MasterCard and Visa and require the initial design fee at commencement.
